Blood donation

Critical Care International and the Malian National Blood Bank undertook a combined occupational health HIV screening and community healthcare project by successfully organising the largest blood donation exercise in Malian history. The client workforce donated 151 units of blood to the national blood bank which is the equivalent of 10 days of national donations at the usual rate. The enthusiasm of the client workforce to donate blood on an altruistic basis was inspiring. These units of donated blood have had a lifesaving impact on patients across the country.
