Case Study

Community Healthcare

Community Healthcare, Africa

Our client was operating in an area of Mali that suffered from short life expectancy, high disease burden and limited medical infrastructure.  They had identified a strategic and moral requirement to develop closer links with the regional community in which they operated.  Critical Care International deployed a doctor with experience of humanitarian programmes.

Working with the client they designed and implemented a healthcare development strategy that focussed on using available resources to improve the standards of care delivered by the local community clinic.  This included medical training, leading community healthcare projects and the development of a long term community healthcare development plans.  The programme enabled the client to improve standards of healthcare in the local community, enhance social license to operate and to leave a long term positive legacy.
